Location Felanitx is a small town in the southeast corner of Mallorca. It lies inland from its nearest seaport, Porto Colom, and is the administrative center of the region.
Felanitx is the main town of Mallorca's second largest wine producing area, Pla & Llevant, which produces a variety of white wines and fresh red wines. It is set in beautiful countryside - very close by are the Sanctuary of Sant Salvador and the Castle of Santuari, both perched on hilltops and offering superb views of Mallorca and the sea. The city is also known for its capers, or "green pearls". You can buy them at the Sunday morning market, which spreads out into the streets around Sant Miquel church, with local pottery on display on the church steps.
